In the 1950s and 1960s, the United States pioneered the development of semiconductor integrated circuit chips (ics). In the early 1980s and 1990s, Japan, which is based on "electronic technology", has been the latecomer in IC production and application technology with its hard work style and the spirit of craftsmanship of excellence, and has stabilized the practice field in the manufacturing capacity of memory chips. Since the late 1990s, due to the creation of the vertical division of labor model and fierce competition in the IC industry, South Korea and Taiwan have gradually become the main manufacturing bases for semiconductor chips.
In recent years, electronic products, led by products such as smart phones and laptops, have enjoyed unprecedented development and popularity. With the great success of China's economic reform, China has formed a huge consumption capacity and production base of electronic products with the world's largest population and the fastest economic development speed, and has become the world's largest IC consumer market. Under the strong attraction of this huge consumer market, the world's top semiconductor chip manufacturers, represented by Samsung, Intel, TSMC and Hynix, have set up factories in China. At the same time, the Chinese government is also paying more and more attention to the semiconductor industry, and in 2014 set up the national Integrated circuit Industry Investment Fund (referred to as the "big Fund") to promote the localization of the integrated circuit industry. With the development of new technologies such as 5G, AI, and IoT, large-scale localization of semiconductor products such as integrated circuit chips and silicon materials is not only the expectation of domestic customers, but also an inevitable historical trend.
In order to comply with the historical trend of this industrial transfer and seize the historical opportunity of the development of the semiconductor industry, ThinkonSemi was established in July 2013 in Jinzhou, Liaoning Province, China, and began to develop and produce monocrystalline silicon materials for large-diameter integrated circuit etching. Since the birth of the company, Shengong has taken "scientific and technological innovation, technology for the country" as its purpose, adhering to the business philosophy of "focusing on technology, emphasizing quality, serving customers", advocating "casting perfection with science and technology, and achieving the future with ingenuity". Today, with superb technology and excellent yield, Shengong can mass produce monocrystal silicon materials with the maximum diameter of Φ475㎜ (19 inches) for etching integrated circuits. The company's products have won the trust of overseas mainstream customers such as Japan, South Korea and the United States with excellent quality. The company has formed a solid long-term partnership with its major customers.
